Saturday afternoon I drove to East Amherst to meet up with Alice at her mom’s house. There I found Alice, her sister and brother, their mom, Alice’s two bridesmaids and bridesman, a cousin and a set of grandparents! It was a full house where I also met three different cats, one of whom they told me to avoid due to his temper and recent proclivity for intentionally peeing on things. As I am not a cat person anyway: Check.
From there we went down to the Amherst Presbyterian Church where things got a little bit hectic between steaming Alice’s dress in the bridal suite (nursery) and making sure Tim & the guys were sequestered in the groom’s room (secretary’s office). I’m glad it wasn’t a big building as I was doing quite a lot of back & forth!
I always like seeing how the best man/maid of honor keep the rings before the ceremony.

As Alice and her sister looked in the mirror as they put on her veil, they both started crying.

Then they called for her dad, which led to more crying!

I have a soft spot in my heart for most grandfathers (no offense to all the grandmas out there, just based on my own life experience) and Tim’s Papa was no exception!

The ceremony started with Alice walking down the aisle to a string quartet playing Tchaikovsky’s “Sleeping Beauty Waltz” and ended with some of the biggest smiles I’ve ever seen:

After the ceremony, Tim & Alice were hugging & kissing and she said, “We just got MARRIED!!”

I’m glad people like bubbles. I like bubbles.

We went over to Glen Falls Park which was just crazybusy with people. I think someone counted 8 wedding parties (including us) and we were only there just over half an hour.

To say that Tim adores Alice would be a huge understatement. The way he looked at her was beautiful. Remember the way you looked at each other this day for the rest of your lives!

The reception was at the Marriott near UB North Campus and between the outdoor cocktail hour & beautiful ballroom, it was a really great mix. There were six great toasts, then some dancing that made me worried for my camera’s safety, but it made my job so fun & easy!

Thanks guys! It was so great meeting all of you! Many congratulations, and make sure to check out my Facebook Page if you want to tag yourselves in any of the photos!
