Ryan & Rebecca – June 30, 2012 | Pearl Street Buffalo Wedding Photography

After doing Ryan & Rebecca’s engagement pictures in mid-May, I really looked forward to their wedding. Their purple & green color scheme was great – the flowers were BEAUTIFUL. And check out Rebecca’s dress. She said the first time she tried it on she didn’t like the detachable one-shoulder detail and wasn’t going to wear it. I’m so glad she changed her mind!

Ceremony: St. Mark RC Church (Amherst & Woodward, Buffalo)
Reception: Pearl Street Grill & Brewery, 2nd Floor
Flowers: Floral Explorations, Hertel Ave.
Photo Locations: Tifft Nature Preserve and Gallagher Beach Pier, Outer Harbor
Music: David with Jammin’ Sound

I started out at St. Mark half an hour before the ceremony was to begin, where I found poor Ryan sweating up a storm, partly due to the heat & humidity, partly due to nerves. Thank goodness he had a hankie handy!

After the church, the original plan was to take pictures at the Japanese Gardens at the Historical Society, but I got there before they did and saw there were already 3 limos there. As I waited, I saw more limos pull in. By the time they arrived, there were EIGHT wedding parties already out of their limos, not including Ryan & Rebecca. I suggested we go to Tifft. Rebecca said, “I’ve never been there. Is it nice?” “Yes,” I said. “I’m easy. Let’s go,” she responded. I love it when people just trust me to do what I do! Everyone willingly walked up the mounds with me and we were able to get some really pretty photos in the tall grass. If you’ve never been out to Tifft Nature Preserve, get out there & go for a walk. I don’t think you’ll regret it!

From there, we popped out to Gallagher Beach Pier along the Outer Harbor for a few more (very windy!) pictures.

When everyone had their fill of the wind & sun, we headed to Pearl Street to start the reception. The room looked great (as usual) and I loved seeing Ryan & Rebecca’s book of engagement photos set out for guests to sign.

Once the dancing started, the floor never cleared – I had plenty of material right up until I left. From Blink 182 to Journey to LMFAO to Dexy’s Midnight Runners, there was a little bit of everything!

Ryan & Rebeca – I hope you return from your honeymoon refreshed, knowing your wedding was beautiful and everyone loved it!
