Brian & Missy – August 1, 2015 | RED House Cassadaga | Western NY Wedding Photography

This past weekend I had the honor of sharing a day with Missy & Brian. They love each other. A lot. And everyone who knows them loves them too.

They had their entire wedding day at RED House in Cassadaga, NY. I met them there at 2pm and was there til 10pm. Here’s just a taste of what happened during those hours.

Although I’d never met Missy or Brian or anyone else there until that day, I’ve known Missy’s mom for 15 years. She was one of my professors (Principles of Biology) at Jamestown Community College and I love her. Seeing the joy on her face this day made me teary repeatedly.

Brian & his dad & friends got ready in the room across the hall. I could say there was a bunch of fussing over pocket squares, boutonnieres, etc. but really there was just a lot of laughter & hugging!

Their dog Baylee was their ringbearer and he had his own special bow tie.

This is Brian’s twin sister’s little boy and he was precious!

There were gorgeous flowers everywhere but this little mushroom growing up through the mulch caught my eye.

I love “the handoff” as the groom takes the bride from her dad. Her dad, by the way, made that beautiful chuppah with the help of a friend.

The light breeze that afternoon put a kink in their plans to do a unity candle. They laughed it off good-naturedly!

I loved how Brian clasped Missy’s hand in his as their parents read for them.

That moment when you can’t get her ring on and she’s giving you no help!

“Any time we’re kissing, Missy’s happy,” Brian said.

Because they had many guests attending with their children, they made sure to have lawn games & activities available for all ages.

The reception decor was beautiful. I’m sure it was a collaborative effort, but Nichole & Jamie from “It’s Your Day” wedding planning were awesome!

The dances were beautiful. The picture of Missy’s mom watching Missy dance with her dad while hugging Brian’s mom & stepdad gets me every time!

“Can we do one more photo?” I asked. Such a pretty venue.

She had to change out of her Badgley Mischka wedges. I loved the dirt on her hem from being outside & in and out of the loft all day… this is real stuff!

In case of rain, and in case it was a super hot day (thankfully neither happened!), they rented a tent and set it up on the lawn for dancing later in the evening. Everyone had a blast!

I had such a wonderful time – your love radiated and it made me so happy the whole afternoon & night. You don’t even need my wishes for happiness, but I’ll give them anyway. May many years of love, hugs, kisses, and joy be yours til the end of your days. Congratulations!
