On Wednesday afternoon, I left home for the 1 hour 45 minute drive to Chautauqua Lake to meet Harrison & Alicia for engagement pictures in Long Point State Park (just outside of Bemus Point). It was a gorgeous evening, sunny & blue sky. I was also able to see an old friend who was visiting from out of town so I spent the whole evening in the area. I don’t go “back home” that often these days, and I forget how nice parts of Chautauqua County are.
Anyway, Harrison & Alicia! I actually used to work with Harrison – we were both cashiers at the Foote Ave Quality Markets when I was at Jamestown Community College and he was still in high school. He had no idea who he was meeting with when he & Alicia showed up to meet with me at the Starbucks back in April. He didn’t know that I’m a photographer now, and he never knew me by my married name, so it was funny when they walked in and we both did a, “Hey, wait, I know you…” face. It was nice to see him again after so many years, and Alicia is just beautiful – I think I am in love with her hair!

I’m looking forward to their fall wedding in mid-October!
