We even go to do an updated leaf-throwing picture for Quinn! I didn’t put up a blog post right away because they wanted the pictures to be a semi-surprise for Christmas cards, and by that time I forgot they hadn’t had a post!

Luke slept like a champ for the first part of the session – unfortunately he wasn’t quite as thrilled during the part where we were trying to do family photos! Ah well, that’s babies for you.

I can’t say exactly when I first met her, but surely she was still in elementary school. I’ve been friends with her older sister Amy for at least 15 years, and now Jena’s all grown up, married, and a mommy. I did Ron & Jena’s wedding back in August 2009 (I’d link it, but the picture links went bad and I haven’t fixed it yet) and earlier this month, Jena gave birth to their little girl, Natalie. She joins two older brothers (Ron’s sons) to round out a complete family!

When I arrived, she was getting her bath to be picture-ready. Wide awake little lady! For being less than 2 1/2 weeks old, I was really surprised at how proficient she is at finding her thumb!

After a bottle and some snuggles, she got settled down enough for some solo pictures.



Congratulations to all of you on the new addition to the family – and to the grandparents on expanding their brood!

Now they have two beautiful children and I’m so happy for them!

Jack loves “twains.” He loves to make them “cwash.” BIG cwashes are the best.

Baby Noelle is the newest addition to the family.

Jack also loves Nilla Wafers.

Family photos with a newborn and a wiggly two year old can be tough, but we made it happen.

Noelle was suspicious of me, but not of mommy.

I wish we had a hammock, and matching shoes.

Sleeping babies are nice, but so are awake babies (as long as they are not mad!).

What a beautiful baby girl! I think she looks a lot like her big sister, just with a lot less hair!

Yes, it’s true. I am a rockstar. Today I drove to Erie to see baby Olivia. The problem was she didn’t seem too happy to see me. When I suggested she might take off her several layers of clothing for some pictures, she said, “Lady, you must have me confused with some other baby.” It was not happening. After several hours of cuddling and shushing and swaddling and nursing and diaper changing and more cuddling and shushing, I finally came to terms that it was not going to be a standard newborn shoot and I took a different approach. I hope they still convey Olivia’s sweetiepieness!

And we can’t forget big brother Gus, who did a very nice job!

Congrats, Jeff & Emily – sorry it didn’t go awesome, but I hope you love the pictures anyway!

I photographed Heidi & Tyler’s wedding back on 7/7/07, and have photographed big brother Declan a whopping 6 times since his birth almost 3 years ago! Unfortunately Declan was not feeling the love for baby Brixton and I was not able to get any photos of them together, but as Heidi said, his whole world just changed 6 days ago, so what can you do.

Here’s a sampling of our ~3 hours together!

And just for hahaha, here’s Declan totally stealing the show while I tried to take a few pictures of the nursery!
