In June, I met beautiful first-time-mother Kate and her husband Brooks at Elizabeth & RJ’s wedding. They have to leave soon to go back home overseas, but while they were still in the area they wanted to get a few pictures of themselves and their new little boy Henry. He has the most beautiful wide blue eyes! We braved the muggy early August air to get these photos in Kate’s parents’ back yard. He was totally tuckered out by the end of the session but I had to sneak in a sweet grandma-baby moment!
Today I had the pleasure of visiting my friends Heidi & Tyler to photograph their second baby, Brixton. I photographed Heidi & Tyler’s wedding back on 7/7/07, and have photographed big brother Declan a whopping 6 times since his birth almost 3 years ago! Unfortunately Declan was not feeling the love for baby Brixton and I was not able to get any photos of them together, but as Heidi said, his whole world just changed 6 days ago, so what can you do.

And just for hahaha, here’s Declan totally stealing the show while I tried to take a few pictures of the nursery!
Baby Sammy and I share a birthday! I did Justine & Chris’s wedding back in 2006 (when I was pregnant with my son!) and recently saw Chris in the Target parking lot, and we talked for a few minutes and he introduced me to their son and told me that Justine was expecting again. Justine emailed me to set up the session, and Baby Samuel was born right on his due date – April 8th! I was supposed to go do the session last week but had to postpone due to sickness, but thankfully today I was able to go and everything went smoothly (forget about the poop & pee… it happens all.the.time!!). Elijah was the best big brother and was so obedient and helpful… thanks little man!!
