Bob & Carrie – November 7, 2009

Ohhhhhh the delay. Apologies, apologies. Sincerely. Without further ado, here you go, and thank you for not hounding me!

About 50 weeks after we first met , I arrived at Rich’s Renaissance Atrium, ready to photograph Bob & Carrie’s wedding! Carrie was in one of the side rooms getting her makeup done, and Bob was not there yet, so I took a bunch of pictures of the dining area before it got all junked up with people and purses.

When I ventured back into Carrie’s room, I got daring with her dress and carried it out to the frosted glass windows and I’m so glad I did. I like getting a little bit artsy fartsy sometimes.

Speaking of artsy fartsy, when I saw the “We <3 Our Customers” dry cleaning hanger, I knew I had to use it for a photo of their rings.

Just look at these flowers! Just because it’s November in Buffalo doesn’t mean you can’t have color!

Carrie decided it was time to get her dress on, and was laughing at having worker bees fluttering all around helping her with all the details, like “All this fuss over little old me?”

When the ceremony got underway, I had quite a fun time rockclimbing to get different angles. Thankfully I didn’t fall and cause a scene – love wearing my Skechers.

After it was over, Bob & Carrie went off to have a few minutes alone. I, not knowing this, barged in and started taking pictures. When I realized my mistake, I tried to back out of the room quietly, but the fact that I came in gave other people the signal that it was okay, and here’s Carrie’s sister taking her moment alone with Bob:

Pretty close quote: “If you *ever* hurt my sister, I.will.kill.you. I mean it.” Loved it.

The family photos were a little bit like herding ferrets and trying to get them to do your bidding, but we got it done, leaving time for party!!!

Note to all wedding guests: It’s usually the best idea to avoid stepping on the bride’s gown during dances like The Electric Slide, The Cupid Shuffle, etc.

At some point, someone started handing out these glasses and hats. People really got into it!

The very last picture I took was this one – when the bride and groom are still smiling that much late in the night, you know it’s been a fun party!

Congratulations you guys, thanks again for not making me feel bad about the delay, and you’ll have all your stuff very soon!
