Wendy Mitchell Photography | Buffalo Wedding Photography bio picture

Happy you're here!

This site is a collection all all the work (and some personal photography) I've done since January 2009.  Go back through the archives, sort by category, however you'd like to browse.  Stay a while!

A little about me: I grew up in "The Southern Tier" of Western NY, graduated from Falconer High School in 1999, Jamestown Community College (AA in Media Arts) in 2001, and Rochester Institute of Technology (BFA in Professional Photographic Illustration) in 2004.  I have been photographing weddings full-time in the Buffalo area as Wendy Mitchell Photography since January 2005, and it's my most favorite thing to do!  I live in Alden, NY (about 30 min. east of downtown Buffalo) with my husband and our 4-year-old son.

I'm glad you found your way to my site.  Please enjoy looking through my photos, and if you'd like to talk to me about scheduling a wedding or other shoot, please contact me using the link above!

Matthew & Lindsay – September 19, 2009

Sorry for the wait, guys!

I met Lindsay in May 2008, when I did her sister Michelle’s wedding. A few months later we moved out to Alden, and a month later, Michelle & her husband Scott moved in next door to us! Then Lindsay & Matt got engaged and I got the call to be their wedding photographer and I was happy to work for the family again and to shoot at La Galleria!

The ceremony took place at St. John’s here in Alden and I think it’s probably the shortest distance I’ve ever had to drive from home to a church!

We headed up to Glen Falls for pictures and man, was it crowded. We made it work though!

On to La Galleria for a wonderful family style dinner. Everyone kept commenting how the cake was just perfect for the day and although it took a little while, we eventually got some fresh faces out on the dance floor!

Congrats again, you guys! Glad I could be there.
